PHIIT CLUB PROVIDES STRENGTH & CONDITIONING FOR ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT AND PERFORMANCE.
Strength & Conditioning is a discipline of training commonly utilised by athletes to help develop and enhance sports performance.
At PHIIT Club, athletes aged 13y/o and older will learn how to apply themselves by utilizing appropriately loaded multidirectional & multiplanar movements to build robust bodies that can handle the stress of their chosen sport, and enable them to bounce back fast.
With a strong focus on planned and progressive programming, strength & conditioning will provide all athletes with the edge they are looking for to progress with certainty whilst safeguarding against injury.
Using our custom designed floating cable pulleys and attachments, ergometers and other unique training equipment along with our multi-disciplinary approach to training, PHIIT Club can help beginner to elite athletes achieve improved performance; whether injured, or healthy.
Designed by experts our program will help take YOUR training and physical ability to the next level.
We have 15 Ergometers (9 BikeErgs & 6 SkiErgs) that will not only help develop both general & specific conditioning, but they also accurately measure both aerobic & anaerobic capacity as well as athlete’s ability to repeat efforts effectively in a safe, reliable and meaningful way. Regular planned use of these Ergometers will help provide athletes with a SECRET WEAPON by greatly enhancing capacity for both recovery and repeatability.
Our Strength & Conditioning program features appropriately Loaded Multiplanar Chain Movements to help develop a coordinated, strong and robust body with an improved ability to apply to sports training and competition. Our custom designed floating cable pulleys feature a colour coded load selection guide, numbered pulley heights and stance positioning decals to ensure the ‘line of pull’ is consistent, thereby loading muscles in a relevant manner. The pulleys also feature our exclusive range of motion ruler which provides feedback on the travel distance of each rep, and provides huge accountability and feedback, ensuring there is no corner cutting or premature load increase.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Every 3 weeks you will have access to a new, custom built program to suit both your goals and your sports/school/work/life schedule. The process is as follows:
CONSULT with a qualified coach to establish a sustainable weekly exercise routine that compliments both the physical requirements of the sport and the sports training / competition schedule. This schedule goes straight in the diary. Each session you will know WHAT to do, WHEN to do it and HOW to do it in order to optimise training benefits.
LEARN each skill / movement through watching a comprehensive instructional video. Expert Strength & Conditioning coaches will validate techniques and then suggest appropriate loads to use whilst executing each exercise.
TRAIN, TRACK & MONITOR your personal performance each session as you follow a GUIDED workout. You will be provided with a scoresheet to capture workload & capacity for the purpose of monitoring personal performance. This essential training tool enables you to establish benchmarks, attain personal feedback, allows for goal setting and accurately logs your training history and attendance.
REPEAT THE PROCESS Every 3 weeks the exercises change and are updated in line with the PHIIT Training system designed for continual progression.
Please note that athletes under the age of 16 must train during manned hours only or be accompanied by an adult when training during unmanned hours.
WHAT TO EXPECT
When followed properly you will:
- Learn how to gain control of your body and how to apply yourself across a broad range of safe & relevant multi-directional and multi-planar movements.
- Build strength and enhance conditioning; the ability to sustain high relative workload / capacity over time and in a repeated manner.
- Develop a ROBUST body that can perform & bounce back quickly (repeatability) and where risk of injury is minimised (PRE- habilitation).
- Become self driven and self motivated to adhere to your training routine without requiring the need of a trainer (become autonomous!)
- Build confidence in your own ability to perform, in sport and in life!
